Terms of Service

Last updated: August 7, 2026

01

Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of TeeUp, the golf matchmaking service operated by TeeUp at tee-up.golf. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use TeeUp.

02

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use TeeUp. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 or older and that the information in your profile is accurate. One account per person — no shared or duplicate accounts.

03

Your account

You're responsible for your account and everything that happens under it. Keep your password private, keep your profile honest — including your handicap — and let us know right away at hello@tee-up.golf if you suspect someone else has accessed your account.

04

Code of conduct

TeeUp exists to make golf better company. That only works if everyone plays it straight — in the app and on the course. By using TeeUp you agree to:

  • Treat other members with respect, in messages and in person.
  • Show up for rounds you commit to, or cancel with reasonable notice.
  • Represent yourself honestly — real name, real handicap, real photos.
  • Never harass, threaten, or discriminate against another member.
  • Follow the rules and etiquette of any course you play through a TeeUp match.

This conduct standard applies both on and off the course, including any interaction that begins through TeeUp. Violations can result in suspension or permanent removal.

05

Safety

TeeUp connects golfers; we don't supervise rounds and we aren't responsible for the in-person conduct of any member. Use good judgment when meeting someone new:

  • Meet at public courses.
  • Tell someone where you're playing and with whom.
  • Keep early communication inside the app.
  • Report or block anyone who makes you uncomfortable.

We provide reporting and blocking tools and we review every report, but we don't conduct background checks on members.

06

Your content

You own the content you post to TeeUp — your profile, photos, and messages. By posting it, you grant TeeUp a limited license to store, display, and use that content to operate the service, such as showing your profile to potential playing partners. Don't post content you don't have the right to share, and don't post anything unlawful, deceptive, or abusive.

07

Termination

You can delete your account at any time by contacting hello@tee-up.golf. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, harm other members, or abuse the service, with or without notice. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination — such as liability limits — will survive.

08

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

TeeUp is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee match quality, member behavior, or uninterrupted service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TeeUp and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any injury, loss, or dispute arising from interactions between members, whether online or in person. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

09

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which TeeUp is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that state, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

10

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as TeeUp evolves. When we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or in the app before the changes take effect. Continuing to use TeeUp after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms. Questions? Write us at hello@tee-up.golf.
